Very True. A study 2 years ago by the AMA concluded that in the majority of fatal skiing accidents, a helmet either didn't help to save the person's life, or wouldn't have. I'm not saying that because I'm against helmets. I think helmets are fantastic for helping to prevent concussions, etc, and I'm sure sometimes even serious injury.
I always wear my seatbelt, and feel very uncomfortable if I don't have it on. I don't always wear my ski helmet because when I fall, It's usually just a slide out because I was pushing the limits of inclination. Like I said, if I was skiing at a big mountain, or in the trees, or racing then of course I'd wear one.. My hill has a 234ft vertical, and no trees, so I think I'm allright. However I do realize accidents are purely that, and can sneak up on you. I guess sometimes I just like wearing a hat..
