Oh, I think I read this on a board somewhere but I heard Tanner is a season pass holder on Brokback Mountain.

just an addendum: that whole sand comment was really not neccesary
Watch Yearbook by MSP, he can't turn at all. He is in the back seat for his whole run, and doesn't know how to pole plant, resulting in shoulder rotation. Awful skiing that does not belong in such company as Backstrom, Douglas, McConkey etc.

Best park skiers, not one of the best skiers.

As for your use of the word "W*gger"...the word doesn't make sense and wouldn't even exist except as a direct reference to "N*gger".
Do you use that word, too? Don't use either.

It makes perfect sense to those who act like one.

I can say wigger with no prejudice.

I don't use the n word, my Brother in law is black and a very nice man.

Classic.

When I broke my collarbone they told me 6-8 weeks and that was a minor break. His one ankle was a major break that required two huge chunks of metal to rebuild the bone, and they operate after it heals to remove the metal. That takes way more than 6 weeks. Sure I would expect him to ski this year but not be at a world class level. As for the guy with the back pain I felt for him. I know that feeling and cannot imagine putting the stresses he put on his back....

allthough his outfit was horrid.....

It's funny how a controversial person like Tanner can bring out the worst in what I consider to be the most mature ski community on the web (for now) : Tanner is good at what he does, which is ski park, pipe, and slopestyle.

He is bad at big mountian, racing, and relating to the world outside of preteen thugs in a positive way. What he tried to do at Chads was impressive, and he deserves recognition for his incredible almost feat of athleticism.

This doesn't mean you have to like the image he portrays, the way he acts, or the values he attempts to instill in our youth. I certianly don't. So, let's give him credit for being a great skier at what he does, and berate him for being just another typical celebrity with nothing positive to offer the world outside of his narrow spectrum of talent.

You guys have to be f'ing kidding me. These guys all rip outside the pipe/park too, I'm sure they all have strong backgrounds in moguls, freesking or race. For anyone to get that good at pipe, they have be pretty damn good all around. Way better than anyone posting in this thread, including myself.

I've broke an ankle once. A year later, skiing still hurted. 20 years later I can know tell you when it's going to rain.

The most intelligent post in this whole thread, including my own.

Of course, I wouldn't wish a broken neck or death on anyone. I'm not that kind of person.

Tanners public demeaner and way of life is not what any parent wishes for a role model of our kids.

No doubt being famous at an early age has robbed him of his innocence. It's still no excuse for what is widely known around the ski world.

Excuse me for wanting to see him fail and drop some from the top of the list of teenage wannabies.

My point is that no one can say that word without "using" the "N-word".

It doesn't matter what your intention is, the word exists as a variation of another word, another word that is necessarily invoked every time the W-word is used.

If that's too poorly expressed to get my point across, try this:

McDonald's comes out with a new burger for children. It's just like a Big Mac, but half the size.

It's called a Li'l Mac.

See?

Every time you say "Lil' Mac" you reference "Big Mac".
No one is going to ask why they called it the "Lil' Mac", it's obvious - there's a direct reference to another word.

And when you say "w*gger" . . . do you see where this is going now?

: What is this supposed to mean? You refrain from using the "n-word" because you know a nice black guy? Is this meant to be 'funny'? What?
What are you trying to do, get me to say something that will please you.

My Brother in Law uses the N word all the time. Describing people of his own race who are criminal detrimental to his people.

White trash is a word that describes close enough to our race that the n word does to his. What's the big deal.

When you use either word with malice at heart, you are probably are prejadist. I have no prejudice towards blacks but I do towards Tanner so I will continue to use Wigger as much as I want.

You have no idea what is in my heart so trying to make me out a racist is silly and 99% of the people here know better ok?

Wigger is a slang term that the freeskiers have made up for some of their type. I didn't make it up. Go on to a different topic ok?

You're starting to sound silly.

I don't use the n word either. I love black people. And while I can't boast that my brother-in-law is black, I invited 3 black people over to my house once.

Bernie Mac's response:
(if you know how many black people been over at yo house, you racist like a muthaf*cka)

btw, one way to tell if you're a racist is to ask yourself--how many black people do you know who like you?
here's a website that deals with that important issue: link

you're right. He should use the word "cracka" instead. That would be much better cause it doesn't have any reference to blacks at all! Thus, no black people will be offended by liberal use of the word "cracka." Problem solved.

I thought Tanner dropped out of slopestyle when it was turned into "big air", not because he felt ripped off from last year's event (which should have gone to Gagnier again for throwing his 1080 unnatural, the only variation other than Rory's failed double front flip). Another funny thing I am seeing here is the discounting of Tanner as a "skier" because he specializes in park and pipe. Bode is pretty specialized as well and no one disputes that he is a great skier (and, from what I have read, he is a bit of an arrogant @ss as well). I bet you Tanner looked better on the big mountain than Bode would look in the pipe or on rails (especially in his spandex race suit).

The term "wigger" was not remotely made up by freeskiers or anyone in the skiing community. It comes from the hip hop culture to describe suburban white kid posers who embraced the hip hop world without any real street cred.
