Have been working as corporate sellout for last 6 yrs, finally finding time to get back on the mountain. Havent skiied > 20 days/yr since living in VT in 1998/9. Predominately ski on the East Coast: Sugarbush, Stowe, Smuggs, Jay Peak. I'm planning 10days @ Alta & Snowbird in March. Go ahead, make fun of vacation skiers jamming liftlines. I deserve it. Used to do it too.

I am:
male, age 29, 5'9", 165lbs
~PSIA Level 8
Last purchase: '99 Dynastar Speed SX 178cm
Boots: Lange Comp 120 (great fit)

Short/Med radius turns Glades, bumps
Occassional big arcs on groomers

Don't know much about:
Deep powder...sad, but true.
Rocky Mtn/Wasatch steeps...can't wait to try.

Demo'ed this yr:
Dynastar Legend 8000 172cm (really loved these skis, great edge grip, lightweight, busts up crud, a little long in falline bumps?)
Teneighty Thruster 165cm (crap weather, headed to terrain park...short, but fun, learned hard way that i'm not good at riding switch)
Rossi B2 166 (felt short, not as solid underfoot as Legend 8k, some chatter at speed on groomers)

I probably won't get out enought this year to justify a big spendy purchase. I'd like to learn more about what to look to demo for the week+ that I'm going to be in Utah. Don't have a ton of experience on skis > 62 wide. Realizing that different skis are good for different days...I'd appreciate any info on what to try when.
