hmmm. don't know what else it could be. had expected a laborious grind due to some poor sleep nights.

jumped on the treadmill saturday for the weekly uphill slog and was feeling pretty good. decided to push a couple buttons, raise the angle of incline and up the speed. and so it went, cruising at a clip i haven't seen in awhile, even adding a half-mile, finishing at more than 15 seconds per mile faster than usual, w/o pushing.

all i could ascribe it to were the three days of skiing at mammoth (top=11,000+) the previous long weekend.
