I lost a good Kerma carbon pole to a level 1 class once. It was being used as a "slalom" pole when the class was learning to make their first turns at the bottom of the hill. A very large oman skied over it and actually crushed it
: I didn't even think it was possible. But we get them on pro forms, so it's not a big deal.
As for the kid hitting you, I had a level 5-6 ish kid keep trying to throw snow on my by hockey stopping above me. A couple of times, he went down and almost took my feet out from under me. Other times it was just annoying an dangerous. After telling the class a few times to always stop below the class, and him not responding, I stopped on some glare ice and just as he was aiming at me, I moved. He slid a very long way. I continued to teach the rest of the class while he waited for us to get down to him. He didn't do it again.
