I will be in Breckenridge from March 23-26. checking out on the 26th. I was thinking about staying at "The Village at Breckenridge" for 380 a night. Maybe Powderhorn. Must be a 2 bedroom condo and less than 400 a night. Any other reccomendations?

We have had very good experience with Brinkman Partners (www.brinkmanpartners.com). We stayed in Ski Hill, and it was quite nice.

They want $380 a night?!?!? Holy crap. Time to start renting out my basement.

What's wrong with you? 380$ a night?

I rented a very, very nice condo for a whole week for $775.

I guess if you've got it, it doesn't matter huh?

I'd probably go to vrbo.com and deal directly with owners instead of with management companies. Owners pay ~45% for management and so there's a lot of room for negotiation. Almost all the units in Breck (Village, Beaver Run, etc) are owned by individuals who will often rent for 30-40% off if they don't have to go through a management company.

..

Breckview's suggestion is excellent, however you might have to stay in nearby Dillion as there aren't alot of two bedroom choices on VRBO for Breck.
Another worthwhile try is http://www.twinseasons.com they have alot of condo's on Buffalo Ridge (20 minutes from Breck) for good prices.

also try: http://www.hocksnest.com/

good map of where every condo is, there's a lot of walk to lift(thats about a 10 min. walk in ski-boots) that are $275. village wasnt worth $400 a nite for the ski-in, IMHO.

River Mountain Lodge worked VERY well for us. We paid $1200 for 6 nights/six days skiing in a studio. It's not the most luxurious, but it's nice and the LOCATION IS OUTSTANDING!!! It's only a half block from main street, 4 o'clock run dead ends at the front door, bus stop directly across the street and it's 5 minutes on the bus to Beaver Run/Peak 9 and about 8 minutes to Peak 8 in both directions. There's a GREAT tuning shop just steps away (Glide Shop) and front desk valet ski storage ($1 tip made them happy). All of the nightlife on Main Street is within walking distance and might I recommend "Giampietros" for inexpensive but oh so good Italian and BTW, the bowl skiing in Peak 7 & Imperial bowls is pretty good too(didn't get to ski the other bowls). Have a good time!
