After a summer of waiting, there is finally some accumulation of snow in the east (but i know it will be gone by morning). All summer I have trying to decide what pair of skis to invest in. I am an advanced skier who has skied since I was a young child. I mainly ski ice (as i am in the east) and groomers but I also want a ski that will be able to handle powder, as when i go out west i like to ski off piste. I have narrowed it down to two choices: Rossignol Bandit XX w/ Look Pivot 14 Biindings, or the Salomon Crossmax 10. Unfortunatly i didn't get a chance to demo either last year. What I have heared about the Crossmax 10s are that ther are a soft. A friend who works in a local ski shop has told me to go w/ the salomons because i have skied the company before. I am looking for advice, opinions, whatever. I am 6 foot 2, 200 pounds.
