Well, I went up and it was a great day. There was pretty good cover on most if the mountain witht he occassional ice patch to keep you on your toes. They opened the back side at 10:00 and it was cut up pretty quickly into some nice bumps, not too big. I skied from first to last chair with a short lunch break and my quads were on fire at day's end. I need to work them out more.
I rode the lift with a 60 year old man that had liver cancer and was ready to run in his 16th marathon this year (april??), the Boston Marathon. We were talking about enjoying life while you can. He said if the doctors told him he had another week to live, he would be ready because he lived life to the fullest. I had a lot of respect for this gentleman.
I tried out my newly acquired demo RX8s that I got on Ebay and they were awesome as everyone on this board has stated. I also got comfortable with my helmet which I got for Christmas. It was so comfortable I forgot I had it on and it was also warm. Now I'm ready for Utah next week
