Interested in any/all highlights for a first-time visitor to SLC region. Ski area plans are flexible. Snowbird/Alta on Mon/Tues. Lodging in Park City Wed-Sat. Expert skiers, beer fanciers, any type of food! Your best recommendations are welcome. Thanks, TURBONEGRO and friends.

If your trip is not between Presidents' Day weekend and March 26, you can ski free on your day of arrival at any of the Park City resorts. My top three would be:

Alta
Snowbasin
Snowbird

Snowbasin is an easy 45 minute drive from Park City and is not to be missed.

compared to Alta/Snowbird:

cheaper lift tix

equal snow quality

similar terrain for 95% of the skiers who visit Utah.

Check the beers at whatever establisment you are at and see if they have anything from Wasatch Brewing. Their local brew is not too bad and definitely worth a try. My favorites are the Saint Provo Girl and the Poligamy Poter, but their other ones are good too.

If you can resist the urge to go to Alta or Snowbird on a big powder day (especially a weekend) you will get a lot more untracked at Solitude or the Canyons.

If you are into backcountry or tele skiing check out Watsatch Touring. They have a great shop and may have some free calendars left.

You need more to do.

By the way, your post makes no sense.

Much Thanks!

Good suggestions all. Keep 'em coming. We don't land until 2-5-06. Turbonegro and friends.
