Look PX12 or P12 lifter mounting without 'lift'?

hi guys,

message topic says it all. Curiosu if this can be done, or if anyone has tried. I can get some lifters for a pretty sweet deal (PX12's) but I dont want the extra 6mm lift, as they will be used a bit in park and alot of air. HEard they give u a bit of wobbles on landing, but helps initiate a carve. Ive got my carving skis, so thats no issue.

Any help would be great!

Cheers

I have a pair of skis with P12 lifters and another with P10 without lifters. As far as I can tell, the only difference, besides the lifter plates, is that the P10 uses shorter screws. I suggest you ask the ski shop you will ask to mount the bindings if they can get a set of shorter screws. They probably won't sell you the screws without mounting the bindings, for fear of liability issues.

If you remove the lifters they must be replaced my the "interface shims" (not really sure what they're called) that Look uses for their non-lifted binding models. I did this on my FBs when I removed the heel lifter to get a 0 delta to the toe (left the toe lift in place).

Honestly the 6mm of lift is barely perceptible so I wouldn't worry too much about it. About the only thing I can think of that might be of concern is cracking the plastic in the lifters when landing huge jumps onto hardpack.
