I haven't skied the 73, but have skied the 76 and 79. They are very light underfoot, not at all like the feel of the RX8. They work well for the lighter skier, as bigger guys seem to overpower them. If you are looking for a good combo/quiver ski with the RX8, you will probably want something wider. 73 won't give you much of a noticeable increase in float over an RX8. A ski similiar in feel would be (I am extrapolating here) the Head iM82, or maybe a Metron B5 or Magfire 10? They are all pretty lively while wider in the waist (not 100% sure on the Head, but it should be similiar, based on how their similiar layups (iM88) ski).
