quick advice on a freaking tall skier's sizing?

hi, new to the forum, did a couple searches and cannot come up with a previously posted answer....

i am 195-200lbs, 6'8" tall (perpetually skinny...i mean lean ), and an athletic midlevel intermed skier who wants to progress further to advanced over the next few years here in n cali. i'm interested in atomic metron m9 puls's -- and unsure of the best guess sizing using their m2 index.

i used the one at
http://www.backcountry.com/store/siz...?sizing_id=149

With 200lbs, intermed level, medium radius turns, index puts me closest to the 171cm length (even a few digits shy of it). i guess i'm not accustomed to being 6'8" in height and riding ~170's! does that seem right to all y'all who know metrons well or to the other vertically-challenged skiers out there? i'm more used to the 180 'hood, but then again i've not yet ever owned my own parabolics, and certainly not this class of atomics.

does my large height increase the target ski length, even if my weight in and of itself doesn't? trying to balance the 'turn ease' vs 'platform stability' pros & cons of the 171 vs 178 decision.

certainly, i recognize the index is just a generalization & that i should get out there and demo both. just having a repeatedly hard time getting them.

thanks for your time and any help you might lend, & have a good day on the hill

I;d say go longer rather than short.
