Hello guys, great forum. I'm new here, so here's a quick bio: male/43 yr. old/5 ft.10.5 in/167 lb in winter. athletic (racing cyclist, hockey player). Was an avid upper intermediate skier until 1993, when a job promotion to the Midwest and the start of a family put skiing on the back burner. Our kids are now 9 and 11, and along with my wife, we rediscovered skiing after a trip to Park City last week. The kids loved it and its a nice family sport. Anyway, I feel like Austin Powers in the opening sequences of the original film, equipmentwise. I'm looking for a quick turner to keep me busy on the small hills of Michigan. A place like Crystal Mountain is great for the kids( vert is maybe 450?). I'm thinking of the Atomic SL 9, but don't have a feel for size. 150 or 160? also, any others to consider? I figure I'd better have some good background info before throwing myself to the ski shop salesperson. thanks.
