Utah !

Today was my last day of skiing in Utah. It's been a great trip with nice snow and great weather.

I hit Snow Basin / Deer Valley and Park City.

I promised the folks at Snow Basin I wouldn't say a word about the place so here is my wordless review of the place

The snow and grooming at all areas was wonderful.

I'd like to thank the following Bears I met and skiied with for adding to the experience (in order of meeting each)

Sugar Cube / Kumamoto / Sonja-Sonja / ydnar & ant. With special thanks to ydnar and Ant for showing me around and providing a few free tickets...

I also met ( and told each about Epic) a few nice local folks. Thanks to Barry for skiing with me at Deer Valley, and Barry ...if you start posting here remember you did promise to tell everybody here that the left ski (Marker) did pre-release before my chest hit the tip of the right ski at that surprise drop off.

Thanks to Rich for inviting me to ski the "FUN STUFF" at Snow Basin.

And thanks to the nice retired couple I met and make a run with at Deer Valley.

Thanks also to all the Bears who posted to my previous thread asking for Utah help...couldn't have done it without you guys

I wish I could make the Gathering....I booked stuff really early this year and had to co-ordinate with others and leave Colorado for home on 1/28.

I WILL NOT miss the gathering next year !

Look for the "Lets Go Colorado II" thread about mid-March and if you and any others can get to Summit County, CO. I'm sure the local mob of Bears here would be glad to see you folks.

I will be in Utah for ESA & The Gathering and had the pleasure to ski with Uncle Louie at Breckenridge on 1/13/06. What an awesome skier and person. I'll do my best to ensure that he IS at the gathering next year and look forward to meeting the Utah Bears in a couple weeks.
