Good morning!

About me:
I'm 28 years old, 5'7", about 125lbs. and have been skiing for about 5-6 years. I am an intermediate yet cautious skier. I enjoy skiing a bit faster when the conditions are great and I don't have to worry about crowded slopes but don't like the feeling out of control.

I live in the east and ski locally (US: PA, WVA, VA) about 2 days per season. We also ski in the Northeast (VT) and out west (first time this year, CO).

Until this year, I've always rented skis but own my own boots. I'm basically looking for an all-mountain ski that's a good fit for me anywhere (mostly on piste) - I don't have any goals of becoming an expert skier but also don't want something that I'll "outgrow" in 2 years.

At the local ski shop, I was referred to the Volkl Attiva AC1 (156cm). I've also researched Salomon Siam N5. Thoughts/advice? Any others that I should consider? Is 156cm a bit too short or ok?

I've called around about demoing both skis but can't find them anywhere. We're heading out west in feb but would be so great to have skis with me already.

Thanks much!!
