volkl race tiger sl vs allstar

Hi Guys

I'm french so excuse my mistakes,

I own a pair of salomon crossmax 160'' ( I weigh 215lbs 5' 11'') and i want to buy either a pair of race tiger sl's or allstar's.
A friend of mine owns a pair of 5 stars from last year and says it's the best pair of skis he ever skied with( for control on ice )
I, with my salomons have a hard time on ice patches and when i pick up speed they wabble a lot, i do think they are probably to short in the first place, should have bought 165-68''.

Thanx I'm waiting for your advice.

Bonjour! .........and welcome.

The 168 Volkl Allstar is my new steed.

Feel free to view my "volkl allstar first impressions" thread.....

They will do everything you want and more.....I am 185lbs and have no need for the 175.....you might try both 168 and 175 being you are 215lbs

Again view my thread for comments...it is pretty well covered.

Fabulous amazing ski....will turn the hills in Quebec into your personal playground......

Highly recommend the Allstar. It will cover any condition you will face in Quebec nicely.

If you want other more specific recommendations in this thread you'll need to give some more detail about how and where you ski.
