What level skier should go with the "Performance" ski rental?

Not sure if I should get them. I'm an athletic but not super strong teen who can ski blues and blacks (often skidding) but has not skied in a year (I'll get the hang of it quick though). I remember my basic skis last year were really wobbly at high speeds. What do u think?

IMHO the non-performance sole purpose, other than possibly for never-evers, is to make it easier for places to charge more for the "performance" model. Try them out.

Not sure about the context here, but I think generally "performance package" just means a little newer and better quality gear - not that you need any special powers to use it. I don't think it's the same as demoing a true high-performance ski. Find out more if you can, otherwise just go for it. If the boots are the least bit more comfortable, it will be well worth the extra 10 bucks or so.

Yes, rent good skis. Find a shop what will let you exchange skis until you find the ski and the size that puts the biggest grin on your face. Basic rental skis for for beginning skiers, and don't have the performace ability for anything except skidding.
