Need Ski recommendations please

I'm looking for two different recomendations.

1) I go out west for 5 days every year. My one idea was to pick up a used cheap power ski from Ebay and keep two sets. One for east and one for west.
2) Another option would be to get one ski that would do good on groomed and powder. I'm open to both.

Now about me:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 145 lbs
Age: 24
On the 1-9 scale, I fall at about a 7. I can comfortably ski just about anything in the east.
I currently ski on Atomic BETA V 7.20 in a 170cm length. They have been a great ski for me and I have no issues with them.

If you want to recommend me a ski for option 1, name me something that I would stand a good shot at getting used on Ebay (and not paying a fortune)

Option 1: Pocket rockets are going down in price.
Volant chubb- some people say it's the best pwder ski ever made. ( I've never skied it )

Option 2:

Volkl Ac4 unlimited
Metron M:ex

Would this be a good ski for me?:

(Please no one bid on it)

I've never skied Tyrolia bindings, are the bindings any good?

If you want ski purely for powder the dimensions that that ski shows may not be wide enough. I just heard the chubbs were good but I would go with something at least 90mm under waist. Also at only 112mm in the tip I probably would go wider. But it is up to you, that does sound like a good price though, but i'd hold off.

Since I'm only going to be taking one ski out west, I need something that will work great in the powder, but also very good for the groomers if it didn't snow for a while.

I'd prefer to get something a few years old on Ebay for a good price.

What would you recommend?

Pocket Rockets

(1) Pocket Rockets or the newer Chubbs with blue or Red sidewalls.
(2) Head Monster 70 or i.Supershape for everything, maybe 160s for your size and ablilty (I just demo'ed Monster 70 170 and Head Supershape 165 in an all mountain camp, powder, steeps, moguls, hard pack, I'm 6', 210#, and they were fantastic).

What year were the Chubbs w/ the blue and red?

Not sure I'd worry that much about a pure powder ski for only 5 days out West. Despite what the marketing departments might tell you, I've had plenty of 5 day trips w/out or with very little powder.

For an all around ski, how about the Metrons (10 or 11), AC4 or Nordica Hot Rod?

I'm well aware. This is hardly my first trip out west. I just want something that will perform a little better than my very thing Atomics.

If you're going to get some real fats, consider these (you'll need to get some bindings with wide brakes also, but at least they're brand new ski's) You can read reviews on machetes on this site.

Those should be good for a specific fat ski and shouls last a lifetime...

Completing the set

After you buy those Volants I just pointed out, get some salomon bindings and fit them with these brakes:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-VOLANT-MACHETE-FB-165-cm-FAT-POWDER-CHUBB-SKIS_W0QQitemZ8749314647QQcategoryZ62184QQssPageNa meZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

For example (I think the fat brakes should fit these):

And hey presto, you've got all new gear for around USD 300....isn't life great when you're assisted by the bargain hunter...
