I'm gonna say it - I think that for a lot of skiers what they like about the M666 has a lot to do with where the factory midsole mark is on the ski. It's much farther forward than most manufacturers (even some of the French stuff). Elan is one of the only manufacturers where I'll actually use their midsole marks for my mounts. The BoF mounting position method just lines up almost perfectly for me with where Elan puts the marks on the skis. Ski behavior changes radically depending on your mount point and I'm glad everyone is loving their M666s. I have found all of my Elans to be an awesome "compromise" between the feel of a Volkl and the feel of a Dynastar - not too heavy, but still damp enough and lively enough at the same time.
