I can understand the others with a combined total of about 50 posts between the 6 of them, but I have over 1700 posts and have been a member for a quite a while now. It's so nice to know people care about me. I guess I know where I stand!

First thing I thought of was your website, but I wouldn't feed you to the trolls so he could poach and plagiarize you. http://forums.epicski.com/showthread.php?t=34629

Off the pity party, please!

PS. Sniff, sniff, I smell CAKE! Happy Bday!

teachski, all I can say is, "Huh?" I'm not sure what you're talking about!

But, as Bonni says, "Happy Birthday!"

I've been away for a few days, no computer. I just got a WiFi adapter for my laptop so I am back.

It was a hard day at work today...I went back to school to find that they had moved me to a smaller room that isn't even really a classroom(doesn't make sense...more students, smaller room). There is no storage in that room...it was the Jr. High Teacher's Room. I was told that I can not have any of the cabinets from the old room, they will be needed for the other class. They have a very large bulit in closet in addition to the metal cabinet...large book shelf and file cabinets...I have four small kitchen cabinets now. I was also told thatI could not take the nice new computers they gave me at the beginning of the year. They would try to find me some of the old computers for my room. What's going into the room I had to leave...a music class for one period a day....my planning period. My new room wasabout 90 today, and there are no windows.

No one has wished me a Happy Birthday today...I guess I was just grumpy!

Man, Laurie, I honestly don't know why you stay there... It doesn't seem that they value you and what you do...

I'm sorry.

I hope you have a happy birthday, anyway! Enjoy life; it's the only one we have!

I stay there because there are no openings anywhere. When there were openings in my field they did not want to hire me because I have too much experience and they didn't want to pay me...I even told them I would take a cut. They would rather hire a new teacher, one fresh out of school that they could put at the very bottom of the pay scale than a teacher with 23 years experience.

It hasn't always been this way...just since we got the new interim principal. She comes from a parochial background and does not see any value to Special Education...she would rather throw these kids into the back of a room and ignore them...call it inclusion, or ship them out of "her" school.

I am NOT the only one she does this to...she does it to everyone. If it wasn't for "my kids", and I have a great group this year, I would be gone...job or no job. I know there are others that feel the same way.
