Well, I drove over to Vt. to ski the big K-mart yesterday. Monday, I arrived and verified my Vermont card. My N.H. residency qualifies me for one. It was exceptionally warm and sunny so the usual pack of clowns were out. The skiing Tuesday morning was surprisingly good, however. The groomers had been hard at work, and the snow was soft enough to manipulate. It was foggy and windy, especially at the summits. Visibility was low so the skiing was slow. As the fog lifted the clowns returned. They scraped off a lot of the snow and created icy conditions. An under-age snowboarder slammed into me at the junction of Skye Lark and Snwshed crossover in a slow skiing zone. I left him lying there in the snow moaning with his two similarly underage friends. However, I am walking with a limp as my calf was slightly injured. It seems to me that the resort should take more care about letting unsupervised groups of children roam their slopes.
