Yeah, I was a bit surprised - Not quite 2 ft.....
I checked the weather before I left around 4 thismorning and it was still showing snow all night and throughout the day today. Was a bit bummed when they reported just the 6" from yesterday, and nothing new over night. (Apparantly I need to find a new source for weather info...ergh)
However, I had a fabulous day anyway - best skiing within a reasonable day trip from Abq. Plus, having moved from the east, I'm still fairly green in soft snow, so I was still pretty happy w/ the 6" of chop. Starting to get the hang of it I think
As stated in an earlier post - decent coverage, lots of soft stuff in the trees in the Alberta area (though not terribly deep - I brushed over a few logs), the groomers were fine, and the more popular black runs off the Treasure chair (alberta face, holy moses, etc) are lookin pretty patchy.
I managed the whole day without a scratch.
