Any Locals Willing to Give Up the Scoop on PowMow?

I just got a great opportunity to land a slopeside condo at PowMow for President's Week for an unheard of price. Long, sad story for the owners, but the price is the best I've seen in a long, long time. I've never been up there on my many pilgrimages to Utah. Is it enough skiing for a week or will I want to travel to SB and the more familiar terrain to the south?

I tried to search, but got very little info. Give up the goods!

We just returned from there couple of weeks ago, having stayed at Powder Ridge Village which is ski in-out on PowMow. The condo's there are clean and decent with a nice rec center ... pool and hot tubs. There's no apre' ski.

On the skiing aspect PowMow is all about powder. The slopes are not extremely steep, but the powder and tree skiing are great. The lifts are slow, but again, the skiing is great. Snow Basin is about 25 minutes away, and simply a world-class place. The lodges are awesome, and pretty much anything in the way of skiing one wants ... steeps, chutes, cruisers, long cruisers, powder, bumps, etc.

Anyplace else (PC, DV, Bird, Alta, etc) is at least an 1-1/2 hour's trip away. Be glad to share more detail ... let me know

PowMow is a great mountain to ski, but I don't know that it will keep you busy for a week. You definitely should take advantage of the CHEAP snowcat skiing after a powder dump, but other wise if they haven't gotten good snow in a while, you may get a little bored of the slow lifts. I think if you're there for a week, 3 days may be enough for you with a couple more at the 'Basin and 1 or 2 in the Cottonwoods....

Have a great time!
