Pocket Rockets vs. Mojo 90, Mantra and Rossi Scratch FS

Greetings,

Getting closer to replacing my 175 Pocket Rockets with a similar, very quick turning pow fat ski. W the help of many Bears..I have narrowed it down to:

1. Mojo 90
2. Mantra
3. Scratch FS

I am 6' 200lbs, level 8-9 skier..love the trees..so looking for tighter radius model..just like my PR's but a tiny bit stiffer..

Any thoughts folks? Going to make my decision in the next week..leaning toward the Mojo's...WOULD LOVE TO FIND LAST YEARS MAD TRIX MOJO'S would buy them now.....BUT ONLY 166'S OUT THERE..i NEED THE 170ISH SIZE..OR THE 181..(If anyone finds a shop with these from last years..beers on me!!!) Pls. advise..and thank you again to all who have helped me with this decision!

Dan (Going to Vail in two weeks) Bresno...

why no Lab Gun in there, if you're considering the Mantra?

I skied the 184 Mantra today in Vail. About a foot of yesterday's chopped powder. I'm 5'10" & 165.

I'm very impressed with this ski and will be adding it as my powder/back bowl ski. Excellent float in today's powder. Very little shovel deflection through the chop and nice rebound energy through the tail. I skied the 181cm K2 Outlaw yesterday (which is actually slightly longer than the 184 Mantra-go figure) and prefer the Volkl both in the powder and on the groomers due the Volkl's energy as opposed to the dampness of the Outlaw.

I also own a set of 174cm K2 Chiefs which are going on the selling block.

Danimal,

Try actionsportsoutlets. Phone number is 1-800-603-8580.

I bought the 166 ones from them for $199 a couple months ago. They are trying to sell them on EBay for $250. Last I heard they had a few 188s left.

Give them a call, and try to get the old price.
