Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I spent some time at the boot shops yesterday and eventually got a chance to try on the Rossi 26s. Way too tight. The Nordica Speedmachine 10s were really tight as well but generally fit pretty good... I really think these are the right boots for me based on what you guys described. Problem for me is that they are at a different shop and even though I've never skied them yet I feel bad returning the Rossi 27.0s for two reasons...
1. The don't feel that much different than the Nordicas, and
2. They already heat moulded two sets of liners for me since the first set had a bad wrinkle in them which was giving me a problem.
Also, my bindings are already set up for a 27.0 boot. I think I'll stick it out with the Rossi's and see how they pan out. If they turn out to be a problem, I'll just sell them and get some Nordicas.
By the way, if it helps, the foot scales say about 27.3 on the Dalbello scale and 26.6 or so on the Nordica one. My guess is that Nordicas run a little big based on that.
Also, one other point of interest is that with the Rossi boots... a 27.0 and a 27.5 is the EXACT same boot, shell and liner. The only thing that is the different is the footbed, which doesn't matter anyway because I went with an aftermarket footbed. I find it a little strange that boot companies actually try to make you believe that they have half sizes.
