Like all volkl's 1 degree base and 2 degree edge. I found a page in Tognar Tools Works web site that has a list for all skis.

I know of three people who have bent this ski. I was also standing in the liftline when I saw a person loading the chair who's tip was at least a 1/2 inch off the snow. So that's four bent ones I know of. Watch the moguls....

A fellow instructor here bent his T50's last week in the moguls. I've got 60 days on mine with no problems. Must be technique, lol.

Wow- This sounds like this could be a shady investment. I have been researching for a new pair of skis and the Volkl T50 Supersport 5-Star caught my interest....but this situation doesn't seem to pursuade me towards a purchase. Besides bending the ski into an ABNORMAL shape....how do they perform? Any info about the ski would be appreciated including an expected price (w/ or w/o the Marker binding system). Any opinion on the Rossignol RPM's? Thanks Much-

AtFlagStick,
Volkl is a good company, To bad they don't make more skis. There good skis like the 5 star and G3 are hard to find much past Christmas.
I have not demoed the T50 but I love my G3's. See lots of them
I had G30's and bent one with 23 days on it in Feb 00, Volkl sent me G31's though it did take until Aug. 00.
I've demoed the RPM's, didn't like them, but I felt at home on th Bandit XX. You may be able to get a good buy on the XX, I hear this is the last year for them.

There are quite a few reviews of the 5Star in the Reviews area--do a search. In a nutshell, I found these skis to be too turn happy for my tastes. They're very quick edge to edge. As a second pair, I'd consider 'em, but I'm looking to purchase some skis myself. Plan to demo the G3 next week in Tahoe- I hope it (the ski) lives up to its reputation.

ski-steep, Have a buddy who skied my G31's and loved them. He demoed the 4 and 5 star. He said that he would need both skis to do what the G31 did. He has been teaching skiing for Years, so he knows what he talking about. He has not skied my G3's yet but I think they are even better.
I will say I don't think mine a tuned to factory spec's, long story. I'm sure I have more than a 1 degree base, but I love mine in the bumps, as well as at top speed. I have been talked out of having mine stone ground to bring them into spec.
Let us know what you think of the G3 in the bumps, I'd like to know if it's just me, that think these are great bump skis.

Have fun at Tahoe. I'm on vacation again the week afternext.

Have to ski!

Hey smithby:

what are your specs? I'm thinkning of going w/a 177 in the G3- I'm 6', 170lbs, been skiing for 15 yrs and I hit it all.

Also, I've been noticing your comments on the Atomic 11.20 & 10.20. I plan to demo these as well (and possibly the 9.22) and then make a purchase decision. Thanks for your input.
