Phil I will not be coming. I'm actually just posting to tell Jonah to watch out because his best buddy Riles xtreme is out of prison. And that I'll catch him next summer at that 24 hr bike race.

I'm IN! It'll probably be my first time on my board thgis season, and I want help pulling off a clean carved 360. Should be fun!

I want to go but need a ride. If northern PG county isn't too far out of your way, I'll buy a you a tank full of gas. Plan B is to rent or borrow a car. Does anyone need a ride? I don't have internet at home but will check back here when I can on the slim chance that someone wants to share a ride.

Rod, I'm out in Sterling and go west to Leesburg, then up Rt 15. I have family in Bowie, and that's about an hour away.

Okay, so I too Wednesday off and went skiing & riding. I spent about 2 hours on my carving board. Glad I did this before the event. Basically, I suck! I'll still come and play on the 10th (assuming it gets cold enough to make snow for a couple of days before then), but I hold little to no hope of gaining the skills to carve a 360. I'll just come out and ride, carve a few long trenches and watch the talented folks ride. Maybe I'll bring skis too, in case I embarass myself into exile.

Looks like a cool event. Unfortunately I found this a lil to late. If it happens next year I'd go. That is if you guys allows soft boot riders on alpine boards.:

There will be softies there as well as skis. Everyone is welcome as long as they carve.
please post some footage of you executing that figure 8, phil. That's very impressive, there are very few resorts on the east coast where i could ever pull one off.
last one i did was in the tyrol, last one in the states was at squaw, bottom of the palisades, right above disneyland.

i look forward to seeing that.

I think I can borrow a car. Anyone need a ride? I'll bring a teleboard in case anyone wants to try freeheel carving, bring your teleboots.

Thanks to everyone who came from distances far and near in order to make MAC Tracks a great day. A special thanks to Roger for the clinic and Neil for the clinic and the course. Also thanks to Scott for all of his help. We have lots of pics and video to post and a website to make so be patient. Hopefully we can do it in a week or so. Here is the first pic.

Looks like a solid tradition in the making

phun with phil

Phil,

Thanks for taking the time to organize and administer a well-run, fun event. It was good to "force" myself to ride my race gear for more than two runs in a particular day. I thought the dynamic and interaction between the participants was positive also. I look forward to next year's event, especially the limbo rematch. Maybe with a little more notice, I can bring some Volkl demo's, or have the regional rep show up with demo's and a tent.

Phil,

Thanks for putting this together. It was a blast. Very organized, well run and a lot of fun. I'm looking forward (and dreading) to seeing some of the video. It was great to see what some of the real rippers could do on their boards. I'm also looking forward to photos from the limbo contest.

It was great to meet everyone. The only thing I thought about after it was too late, is that when we ate lunch, we should have done some intros to figure out who (in real life) if who (in cyber world).

Looking forward to the next one!

Phil,

Thanks for a wonderful event. The weather and the snow conditions were excellent. I have never had the opportunity to ride with so many hardbooters at the same time. All positive energy coming from everyone! Can't wait till next years event. All are welcome to come rip it up at Bear Creek with me anytime.

Thanks again,

Doug

Zero,

That little guy in the back row, third from the right, was out there all day. Also, back row, 5th from right, a 17 year old girl carver. She spent as much time in the race course as they would let her!

Phil,

Thanks for getting that up.

Any idea if/when the photo montages or video will be up? I'm curious to see my riding on Minuteman.

I have not received a single video yet. I don't even know exactly what is out there. There were three people taking video (to my knowledge). As soon as I get any, they will be posted.

As far as the montages are concerned, that is totally my fault . I have just not gotten around to photoshopping them yet. Sorry. I will get there as soon as I can. I will send yours to you personally. Here is a single frame sample in the meantime.
