Despite having some swix cera F (powder and block), may I direct the members to a certain "base" substance called "FL1700 produced by what was ICI Fluoropolymers (now ASAHI Glass).

They hold a patent on the production of sub-micron fluoro-powder, and "might" be the supplier to swix.

I happen to now have in my possesion 1kg of the magic materail, whcih can be mixed with wax from any combination from low fluoro right up just enough to bond it together in block.

Tests done, and it seems fast.

Anyone want any posting?

yo, this stuff has been around forever. it is no news.

i have:

FC7, FC8, FC10, FC1 (solid), FC2 (solid)

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/gear-west/racewaxes.html
check those prices.

they claim it makes you 30% faster (duration depending on your waxing skill)
if Bode uses it, i believe the hype.

100% Fluoro On eBay Cheap...

howdy, kidz,

i have used the cera f & it's an excellent product...BUT last season i found this on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/100-gm-100-FLUORO-POWDER-SKI-WAX-LIKE-SWIX-CerraF_W0QQitemZ8744199780QQcategoryZ62170QQssPage NameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

imo the results are the same. the price is approx 10% of the swix/toko branded products retail.

which would you buy, phil?

Despite trolling on the original poster, I will stick up for him a bit here. Whilst the ebay and the stuff i mentioned (which i expect are similar - FL1700 is to sub micron, the same description as racewax.com nano-flouro but i digress) it is more difficult to use than the pre prepared swix/toko stuff.

He is offering a very good price on the swix stuff.

My offer is still open for a free pot of powder, but you collect or pay the shipping cost.
