As an area of concern, how big of a concern is the road closure between the town of Jackson and the resort?
Stayed in the cowboy village and found it acceptable. Although, I don't recall any fireplace in the room. That's a nice location because the free shuttle bus picks up there and it's a close walk to the square. You can pretty much skip a car rental. Although you should be early enough to avoid them, you might call and make sure you won't be sharing the facilities with college spring breakers as that seems to be a popular place for them.
Another option not on your list would be the 49er Inn. The free bus stops there (or next door) and the Grand Targhee bus also stops in front. They have nice suites with fireplaces and a continental breakfast. Again, you're within walking distance to the town square.
I can't compare with the other two locations as I've never stayed at either.
You shouldn't be concerned about road closures between the town and village.
