I just picked up the StormKing pants to replace my current Marmot pants that have over 200 days. Great proucts! One of these days I'll repace my jacket- The only words of wisdom would be two fold: Their softshell line is excellent and you also may want to look at the Skylight jacket. Good luck
Thanks for the info.Have all the XCR shells(Sidewinder,Theta Ar) I need so I am looking into a top notch Softshell. Marmot is top notch stuff with (IMO)Arc'teryx being the best but I do not like their current Stingray colors/Styling.
I got the Storm King Jacket last season. Liked it enough to get the pants this year. The pants are working out great too. Much more breathable than my Gore Tex stuff, and very nearly as waterproof. I found that my Gore Tex stuff didn't really cut the mustard in a full on deluge anyway, so I don't think it's much loss to give up a little waterproofness (if I've given up any at all, and I'm not sure that I have).
i bought a stormking for cheap the beginning of this winter. i only use it as a winter coat, not for skiing. a windproof softshell is the way to go for a coat if u ask me--very warm but u don't get sweaty ever.
