Bindings for Salomon Scream Limiteds?

I just purchased a pair of Salomon Scream Limited. The specs are:

170cm

114/80/108

These skis come without bindings. I would like some advice on what binding to purchase. I am 5'10" 200lbs. I ski in Colorado on mostly groomers and the tree runs (trees around the blue and blacks, not chutes or double black trees). These skis are not my only pair, and I only ski about 4-10 days a year so I do not want to spend $500 on top of the line bindings.

I have been looking at the Salomon S711's, the S810's on ebay. There are also some S912 demo bindings that are new. These would be nice because I could adjust them and share with my brother. Please offer advice or suggestions. Thank you.

I just saw a pair of Marker M8.2 bindings that are new. How would they work for these skiis?

Because of the 80mm width of the ski, you'll have to get a binding that has a wide enough brake. Most modern bindings should fit though as most have 80mm brakes. Otherwise ou can just bend them a little. Older (pre 2002) bindings will have more trouble fitting.

As you don't specify skiing ability or weight, it's difficult to indicate what binding is best. However, you should usually be looking for a binding with din up to 11 or 12. Those are usually the better quality models.

Demo bindings are very practical if you're going to share the ski's (I have some too) also for changing the bias of the ski (front, central or rear mounted gives a ski different feel)

Both the Salomons and the Markers are good bindings, so go for the best deal and the best colour match.

Thanks Klimsky. I am leaning towards the Markers as I am over 200lbs and they have a 4-12 din. I will probably never be good enough to warrant a 12 setting, but it makes me feel better knowing it is there. Also they are brand new and very cheap!

Why dont' you get the Solly 912's that are for sale over on Gear Swap? They're a durable, great binding- and there are two pair for sale for $70 each. They'd work reeeeaallll nice.

S711's are on my shelf and it's close. I guess I was more curious to see if someone had these s711 mounted.

Don't get the 711. It is a mediocre recreation binding and ill suited for off-piste use.

If your recommended DIN is 7 or less then go with the Salomon 810 Ti or the Look P10/Rossi 100. (The Look P10 and Rossi 100 Axial are the same binding with different cosmetics.) If its more than 7 go with the Salomon 912 Ti or the Look P12/Rossi 120.

I purchased a set of skis with salomon s711 bindings - I need to adjust the length to fit my boots.  can you tell me how to adjust the length - I know how to adjust the DIN but cant seem to find the way to move the rear part of the binding back
