I've gone to a few of the locals' clinics, and they're great. They do a good job separating the groups so you end up with folks who are not only at your skill level, but also your aggressiveness level. The women's clinics, which were the ones I attended in the past, had a cohesive and welcoming group... we skied several clinics during the course of the season and got to watch each other improve. Good stuff. We focused on things that were extremely apropos to everyday situations. Breakthrough days for me.
I'm going to be doing the Bumps and Steeps clinic the 6th/7th with Cindy Burke, who is a friend and a super instructor. Very good at helping with visualization.
IMHO... money/time exceptionally well spent. And, for a visitor, a good way to find some of the more fun terrain on the mountain.
