Marker Speedpoint Demo Bindings?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the new Marker Speedpoint demo bindings (the ones with a round thing under the center of the boot) as regular bindings by getting normal Marker EPS plates and losing the demo tracks? Or, are they just completely different bindings and plates that will always be heavier than the normal model?

If you like Volkl, ck out the motion series ,they have a close situation of the marker set and they are about a lb. lighter than a regular binding per ski.

proably not.. I have about 5 pair of various marker demos sitting here and the mounting is different from a regular heel, toe is Ok it is the heel, that is a problem.

Isn't it the Speedpoint Marker is recalling, the demo ones? Part of the mechanism allows the toe to move forward and youi release. Marker says it has happened very rarely, but it has happened. They are offering free replacements.

Yea, I heard they were recalled too. I have since decided not to buy the boards with speedpoint bindings I was eyeing up on ebay. Thanks for the help.
