Love my 6*'s ! They are responsive and smooth! They have a great hold on hardpack, NE hardpack (AKA Ice) and Real ice. They are not great in heavy stuff though. I have not tried them in real powder (we haven't had any when I have been able to ski). I've been told that they aren't the best in the bumps, but I am weak at bumps too so it is hard for me to accurately judge this. I thought they skied the bumps much easier than my Bandit X's did.

Sorry, I was half awake when I read what you wrote. I thought you were asking how they were, not when they would be available to order.

a complete aside but...

The volkl's are looking good but I'd be embarrased to use a freeware typeface on a world reknown product such as Volkl... the font on the text PRO, EXP and EXT are Ray Larabie's Sofachrome. Must be kicking himself to know that large companies are using his freeware font on commercial products... or hoping they've sent him a generous donation.

Is the Explosiv truly going away? There is a comment about "yet another curtain call" on their site.
