What are the most days you've skied in a season. (I guess it's "in a year" for those who ski "down under" during North America's summer. But you get the idea.) And for many, it's probably pretty close to the same number year after year. I guess the poll is FLAWED in that instructors will of course rack up a lot of days over the course of a season.

70 days in season & 14 days overseas in the "summer" .... so I ticked the 80 in a year box?

Did I get it right?

Considering the audience, my guess is that in a day or two, the 100+ will take the lead. You probably should have included 100-200, 200-300 and 300+, since we probably have a few of those.

My totals have varied hugely over the years. I've had a high of a little over 120 days, and a low of about 15 days. This year, I'm just hoping not to set a new low, but it's gonna be tough. I still don't have my first day this season. Some years, skiing prior to X-Mas around here is not even an option, but this year, I feel like I'm late to the party. But that's mostly because of the skipped trip to Killington this week.

Although not my norm, I managed about 80+ days including 2 trips OS to ski in 1985. Normally the number is considerably lower.

In High School our race team skied 7 days a week, 4 months a year. We raced other schools on Wednesday and raced USSA on weekends. Loved every minute of it!

You did say ski in a season, not standing around.

Depends on how you define "day". I spend a lot of time in the BC and sometimes only get one 1,000 - 2,000' vert run in. Does that count as a "day"? Does showing up at the resort in the morning w/ kids, then taking 1 or 2 runs and going in (its too cold!!) and calling it a day count as a "day"? If so, then well over 100. If not, then I don't know where to even begin.

Gunning for 50 this year..... and if I do make it, which box do I check? 30-50 or 50-80? FLAWED!

A friend named Peter has "Peter's Rule." It says that you have to take a minimum of 5 runs to qualify as having skied a day.

110 for the '96-'97 season. going to try and shoot for 70 this year, already up to 24.

BS: In my mind, you strap on skis, and ride down a hill, you count it as a day. Powdr's 1000' vert. probably comes after a strenuous hike. One hour up, 10 mins. down. That's exercise. Probably, good turns, too.

Agreed! Assessing ski prowess (level 13) or days/year on a site like this is like posting a penis-length survey on TGR.

In my case, 100+ days was the norm for several years. I also have washboard abs, long flowing hair and a handsome, commanding visage that causes ladies to swoon.

I have a rule that I have to ski my age at least. Beat it last year by 2, skied 54 days, gunning for 60 this year - but I have to ski 53 at least.

I have avaraged out 120+ days every year for the last 20 years. All free ski and snowboard time.

Cheers to 20 more years of this. Time to go make some turns.

On my best year (when I was a patorlman) I lost count after 80 days but do remember skiing 28 days in a row one time. In those days if you were an employee at any area in Montana you could ski at any other area for free, so we usually skied somewhere else on our days off. After my area closed I went to Snowbird for their last weekend and skied with a guy who claimed to have skied 154 of their 156 day season that year. He wore out 3 pairs of skis and 2 pairs of boots. He had to take off those 2 days when he got behind on his laundary.

Most ever is probably around 30 for me. In the last 8 or so years, 7-15 depending on the year.
I'm a pretty good skiier now (level "10-", "9+"-ish depending on the scales I've seen.) Damn, if I could get 100+ days a year I couldn't imagine how good I could get. I'd never be a Seth Morrison type, not enough of a risk taker, but it would definitely be nice to finally reach that echelon that I keep striving for. At some point hopefully I'll be in a situation that will allow me that many days per year.

Hey, if one run in a day counts as a "day" I wanna change my vote:
