Is that what you think locals who log 100+/yr do? Funny, none of my friends do that. I know it's hard for you to imagine, but some people are able to have good high paying careers and the freedom to ski as well.

No way. I have to move my knee about an inch to put a ski on edge and turn. It's not possible to put a snowboard on edge that fast.

Have you ever been on a snowboard? Getting it OFF the edge is where the real challenge lies

Now I'm confused...Powdr's the pinhead? Or I'm the pinhead? lol

HaHa, Powdr is a pinhead as in three pin binding user or telemarker. Not politically correct I guess. When I saw my old friend, I yelled "hey pinhead" and he looked at me kind of confused and hurt. I should stop using that one.

Seriously though, I think Powdr can keep up, he's been practicing. I never skied with him, but I have an idea he would drop me like I was tied to a post.

Pinhead...duh. You'd think I would've figured that one out after 4 years in Burlington!

That means I'm in possession of slightly more brain cells than you...

See, that's the power of suggestion. I have taken great pains in all my post on this board [& others] to never talk about my own skill level. So any assumptions of my skill level are purely infered. It's working: ! If you want to see how well [or bad] I ski, then you will have to come visit & see for yourself .

I'm sick of snowboarders, punk or otherwise.

Here is a snowboarder's typical daily run...

Stop sideways in front of the lift line ropes to unbuckle and block several people from getting in the lines.

Slide/drag snowboard up to lift access line

Load lift with two snowboarding buddies

Get off lift, move forward ten feet then plop down sideways, in the lift unloading area. Now multiply times three for his buddies.

Now scoot along catwalk 30 feet and drag the board until you come to a bottleneck drop in point for the trail. Repeat falling on butt from lift exit.

Stand up, slide thirty feet, repeat falling on butt routine. Sit in the middle of the trail with two buddies chatting.

Come to first steep section on trail. Promptly fall on but to chat with buddies. Watch skiers deftly maneuver around.

Get up, slide thirty feet again, repeat routine.
When at the bottom boarding the lift, repeat whole procedure.

I was at Sunrise (AZ) today, only two runs open and I must have had to avoid 200 snowboarders throughout the day like this. Three across, blocking the lift exit area.

Three across, in the middle of the trail at the top of a steep pitch. It was all I could do not to yell at them to get the fuch out of the way.

Yes, I am beginning to hate snowboarders.

I can imagine how much fun all of those seated snowboarders were having making fun of you wedge down the hill in your neon fartbag.

Don't worry, if you're as old as you sound, death will come soon and you won't have to worry about snowboarders or other "misusing" the trails anymore.

All of that coming from an 18 year old, still wet behind the ears. I give you 5 years before you become a cynical bastard like the majority of us. I get it, you just aren't exposed to enough human beings up there in the middle of nowhere UP. I'll let you know when I'm at Bohemia. I wouldn't mind seeing what a little choad you are for myself.

Dont group the rest of us in with you as a cynical bastard- noone else is running people over to prove some point.

If you had bothered to read the rest of the thread, you would have realized that I was overexaggerating. I would never put myself at risk of physical harm to simply prove a point.

OK. That's enough of the ranting. Let the thread die or I will close it.
