Does anyone have any ideas on cleaning bases that have picked up contamination from balsam fir tree sap? We had a windstorm yesterday and I noticed smears on my bases after skiing. After waxing, scraping, and brushing the sap was still present. After skiing today, there was even more. I've been conditioning the bases for a race this weekend, so I'd like to avoid using wax remover. I haven't tried a hot scrape yet, but the cold scrape didn't work, anyway. Is there anything that will work without ruining all my efforts to get these skiis up to speed?
