Many thanks to Cirquerider and all of you who posted on the positive attributes of the Mantra. I bought it in a 184 about a month ago based on your recommendations and got to ski it for the first time yesterday. Big grins all day long. Your comments were spot on. Thanks again,
Bob

Bob,
Where did you ski them? I'm one onth away from giving mine their maiden voyage in Tahoe. What were the conditions like? Did you take them into the trees? I have the same length and am always curious about how these boards are handling for different skier types. Thanks!

Bob, thanks for posting. Always good to hear we got it right. I know it felt right from the moment I got on the skis last March. Believe it or not, it just gets better.

If anyone is in the neighborhood planning to ski Tahoe, be sure to drop a PM for a meet. I have passes at Kirkwood, Sierra and Northstar, but if you have other plans, I'm always willing to try something else. I am hoping to stick to the plan to ski more and work less this year.

CR - We may just take you up on that offer, especially if you have patience with a fat-ski noob. We scored the Tahoe six-pack for our trip and will be on snow 1/8/06 through 1/13/06. Looks like we'll do 2 days @ Squaw, 2 @ the Heave, 1 @ K-wood and 1 @ Alpine in no particular order.

Skied em at Sierra..

VASKI244, I have a pass at Sierra @ Tahoe and used them there last Sunday. The snow was great and in much greater quantity than the resort is reporting, I think. Castle run was totally covered top to bottom with only a few twigs sticking out on the sides of the run. I'm hoping to get back up there on Thursday, the 8th. Look for an old guy with a @#%$# eating grin and Mantra's on his feet!
