What I find interesting is that I can feel my inner layers wicking moisture after a run down the hill, and within a few minutes on the chair back up, I feel dry. So the breathability of XCR is not instantaneous, but it does catch up if you take breaks. Previous nylon jackets, which were not even waterproof, would never let me dry out -- I would always turn them inside out after skiing and the inside would still be wet. Never experienced that with XCR. It's great, I love it.
