Likely you have a three part goretex jacket with taffeta lining. My experience is that manufacturers have yet to find a taffeta that allows moisture to evaporate through it quickly enough. I currently have a $450.00 NFace Summit Series XCR jacket that continues this long standing problem that I've had for years. My meshed sleeved but cheaper Marmot (not their top of the line GoreTex), does better.
From now on, I'll prolly stick to two part GTX garments like my technically superior Arc'Terex bib pants. Love em!!
Having skiied, climbed, and been a photographer in the soggy PNW for over 30 years, and still having in my closet the 16th piece of GTX ever made ( Early Winters Light Dimension 3.5 lb tent #16), I speak from a bit o' experience.....
