I would agree with the above posters in suggesting Panorama over Kicking Horse. Kicking Horse is a great resort, but is geared more towards stronger skiers - steeper, lessed groomed terrain. Panorama has a lot of grooming and good intermediate and beginner terrain, in addition to some nice higher end stuff.
Panorama does get less snow compared to most interior BC resorts, but not so much less that its usually a problem, and they have decent snowmaking to make up for any shortfalls (especially on the blues and greens).
For any higher end skiers interested in Panorama, I will note that it certainly has some very good higher end terrain. There's some nice tree skiing, and a couple bowls that I'm told are great (when I was out there last year I didn't have a chance to get to them, and the snow wasn't great). Also, for racers or those with an affinity for high speed carving, Panorama has some very good long groomers with some nice steep pitches if you want to crank out some railroad tracks
