Yesterday I picked up my new skiis (last years model) and bindings. I mentioned that I'd take them home to wax and the shop tech said that that wasn't neccessary, the're ready to ski, right out of the celophane. I thought I might need to do a little work and I planned to set the edge bevels (1% base and side), de-hair the p-tex if neccessary. I thought any wax on the skiis was shipping wax and that I could do better than that for the first day on the slopes. Any thoughts on this? Is an expensive ski, more ready to ski out of the package than other models? Anything else I should consider?
