Hello. I would like to thank all of the folks that are attending this conference both in person and via satellite uplink. I am sure the main thing everyone is wondering… “What were the conditions like at Killington? “ Well, they weren’t like they had 3 weeks ago, that’s for sure. You could easily tell what was new snow and what snow was blown before they had rain. Now, I asked if anyone had any questions, and I got a multitude of responses , so in understanding that there is a time limit here,
I will post the just the answers:

Past the marginal conditions, it was a “same ole same ole” day. Oh, I did meet up with a few Bears! I met with KevinF promptly at 10:00 on the KBL deck. Highway Star showed up a few minutes later (No entourage in tow, they were off skiing alone) After a few introductions, we skate over to the triple and ski that for a few runs. On the lift, the talk was minimal, we were just talking about “the weather”. As we go up we watch other skiers on the hill and did some comparisons. On to the snow part of the day. I have said it before and it was confirmed for me, Highway Star is a very good skier. I could always tell by the way he talked that he was a good skier and again going down the mountain, he definitely knows how to put a ski up on edge. I will also say there is no way that he would or should ski a Metron B5/M11, the ski is just not for him, his style and the way he skis. Granted, the trails were very crowded so we couldn’t open the skis up, but we did what we could. But just in the conditions that we were in, I was making 2-3 turns for every one of his. We were skiing about the same speed, I was just making more turns. Highway proclaims to be one of the better skiers on the mountain at anytime and I will vouch for him that he is. I think I did get him to agree that even though the M11/B5 is not for him, but that it is still a good ski. We agreed much more in person than we disagree on the forum. We still might not agree on some subjects, but I know I have a new found respect for him as a skier and I think I carried my own too. KevinF, was also making some nice turns, as nice of a turn that could be made with rounded edge rock skis. We lost KevinF and picked up a couple of guys from TGR. During the intros, I mention that I was one of those “gapers” from Epicski so they might have to wait for me. After a couple of runs, they corrected me and said I wasn’t no gaper and no, they didn’t have to wait for me, I had to wait for them more. I politely thanked them and said there a people over here that are probably much better than me, so no we aren’t all gapers. .
