yep, that's me, Steve. Looking forward to skiing with you again. But can't afford to park an airplane for 5 days in Salt Lake, so we are driving.

Damn, you know about us already?:

I was going to lie and say we were simply rich playboys looking to fill an otherwise empty week in our social calendar.

Reckon that between the two of us we can go through a bottle during the Stowe ESA? Cause if so, I'll throw one in my ski bag.
(now, not to put any pressure on you, but a certain Mr DesLauriers and myself managed to polish one off in 2 days at the Big Sky ESA...)

oi - I ski outdoors in slop for a very small number of weeks every year.... but we do have more area under snow than switzerland for those few weeks.... (just do not ask about snow quality unless you are scottish!)

Hence my snow grass skiing skills far exceeds my skills in any soft/deep snow (not slush I understand slush)

stuc,

There are around six of us coming over from this side of the tracks that I know of (I didn't count disski cos she's from Oz ). There' Mr & Mrs lbt, Linds, spyderjon, me and some introverted Irish bloke who's there to make up the numbers.

If you see sno'more tell him I’m a 280 lbs bloater with halitosis and a deodorant allergy. (Guess who I'm rooming with: )

Yeah, but if you sleep through it, you won't know. One time I drove through the night to schlep a bunch of racers from Aspen to White Fish. I let the drive while I slept, and only once did I wake up to see the speedometer at 100 mph. I passed out and didn't wake up again until we got there!

My husband and I are looking forward to improving our skills and having a great time. See you in January.
Just confirmed that I've got the time off to attend this year. Three of the best ski weeks of my life have been ESA's 1-3. Looking forward to another great one.

I'm starting to think we are getting to the stage that a shorter list/thread might be produced by swapping the question to:

"Who ISN'T coming to the ESA in Snowbird?"
Just noticed my credit card got nicked with the rest of the reservation cost on the rooms at Snowbird.

Now comes the part where you can't sit still for the next 28 days...

Unfortunately, I am not going to ESA. Fortunately, however, I will be at Alta while ESA is going on -- ESA coincides with when I meet up with some old friends from around the country for skiing at Alta/Snowbird. I call our little group the Alta Kackers (you folks of the tribe will recognise this as the Yiddish term for old fart). As Fox Hat may recall, I will be staying at the Goldminer's Daughter, and will welcome any ESAer's to come up to the bar there for a beer or a few with us.

I don't know what I was thinking...

So I withdrew my attendance at another "camp" and I'm on my way to ESA (I think I got one of the last spots). Somehow I convinced my wife to let my go "play" for a week, leave her with the kids, and miss 2 of my sons' birthdays (what I won't do for skiing ). I even have to postpone jury duty (what a bummer - I was really looking forward to that).

The only "unknown" in my plan is my newly "tweaked" ankle from Saturday skiing with Bong and crew. After saying goodbye, I promptly speeded over a headwall where I expected the run to be flat and t-boned my left ski straight into the side of a large mogul. This of course tore the ski off my leg, but not before leaving me with a medium level ankle sprain. I'm hoping I'll be back at full strength in 3 weeks. If not I guess I'll just have to limp through it.
