Here is a link to the 10 day for Vail. Doesn't look exciting. Lew

Since you're such a nice guy, here's a pic from Saturday at Crystal Mtn. of our "cement". Hope the grass skiing is good in NM!

Cement is powder. If you need perfect conditions say home - big boys, real men, real women, good skiers - ski it and enjoy it. There is always Vail for those who need "better" conditions.

I know this is semantics, but to me powder has always meant just that: snow with the consistency of powder, most any type of powder including cement before the water is added. . If it is really wet it isn't powder to me, though it still may be great skiing. Just my opinion. LewBob

Thanks for the good thoughts, the Central Rockies haven't been all that great the last 2 seasons...average last year but 03-04 was a disaster in Summit...I had more core shots in 1 season than 30 years combined...BTW I miss that great Cali Springtime Corn especially at Squaw

So much for Vail's 10 day report! Thanks for the news Bong. I am planning on being up on Sunday. Am probably going to Vail with my 16 year old. What are you going to be doing? LewBob

Lewbob,
I'll be at lineup at Copper, I'm scheduled Friday through Monday most days this season.

Hey bong!

Good to see you're still around. I've replanted myself and my family in Denver, so hopefully we'll have a chance to make some turns again this year! 2/3 family members ill this morning squashed our plans for a great day at A-basin today, but there'll hopefully be many more this season if it continues the way it's beginning.

Look here: http://iwin.nws.noaa.gov/iwin/co/zone.html

For central Colorado, it's going to be mostly clear and dry through Friday, then snow Saturday and Sunday, then dry Monday and Tuesday.

Glad you're getting early season cover. I'm excited here in Pa. that at the end of the week its going to be 40! Its a start.
Ha, I love 40 going over Berthoud. I skied Winter Park all of 2003-04 and I could get from Empire to Winter Park in 30 minutes, even if it was snowing. Did you know those curves are a lot more fun when you bip the emergency brake and powerslide around them?

Oh, so YOU'RE the maniac that made me go : that winter! Remeber what George Carlin said, "Everyone who drives slower than you is an idiot, and everyone who drives faster than you is a maniac."

Bump...

Here we go again. I'm so happy I don't have to work tomorrow.. this is one instance I don't mind coming in on a day off. I'm guessing it's been falling at close to an inch an hour all day.

Is it supposed to keep snowing that much? How are the roads? I was thinking about going to Copper tomorrow, but I need to be back in Littleton by 4. If it keeps snowing that hard, I don't want to get in a bad mess.

The forecast is for heavy snow for a couple days and then more snow. I'm running out of space to stack snow. My driveway is getting thinner and thinner.
