It's looking more and more like some places are going to start to get at least 8 to 12 hour snow making windows (especially the VT, NH, ME resorts), which should help start get stuff rolling again...

I just don't understand why they are blowing snow if they are not opening this weekend because there are warm temps forecasted down the lin.

I think most places here in the east tend to start blowing well ahead of opening. I thought I saw something this summer about Sugarbush's plans being: start making snow Nov. 1st, open North on Nov. 18th. This would be weather dependent of course. SR must figure they can stockpile enough to make it worthwhile.

As of right now the warm weather looks to only be on Sunday with Base lows in the mid 20's and highs in the mid 40s it really does not look to bad Killy says they are currently blowing and will open next week
