Seeing Phil's post below about most important skis of the decade and doing some browsing thru' ebay tonight (really fun Saturday night at my house tonight : ), saw several auctions for the Grateful Dead skis that Olin had on the market for a season. As I recall, the reviewers said they were a dam good slalom ski for their day. What shocked me was first the price, ranging from $300 up to $1200! : And that these skis have never been used! Being the semi-deadhead that I am, I was tempted to pick up a pair when they were on the clearance rack many years ago, but it would never have occured to me to put them on display and never use them.
Anyone out there bought skis soley for collector's value?
