My recollection is that there were 2 versions of the Javelin: the first from the mid 70's white with black stripe, the second, like roundturns said, from the mid 90s also white with black stripe. I would say that the PSIA logo gives it away as a 90's model. Also the black stripe on the 90's model was a little fuzzy on the edge, while the 70's model stripe was very crisp. I can't belive I remember this stuff.
I say, mounted 'em, ski 'em.
There were two Javelins, the original hart regular b/w ones and the red javelin xxl's. The one that you have are not the original ones from the 70's so they have no real intrinsic value so you may as well ski them. If they were new originals I woul dleave them unmounted or get a pair of old marker simplex/rotomat bindings.
Don't mount them or do anything to them. They are not the ones from the 70s (actually the originals are from the 60s -- I know that for sure). What you have is the anniversary model from about 10 years ago, never took off.
