Steepandcheap question

Is this a subdivision of another store or site?

I went to their site via a link on another post and I am not sure how this works.
Do they sell one item per day that goes up at midnight or is there a whole site and the "item" is the days special? I cannot navigate to a site per say, just teh individual item for sale.

They sell nice stuff - last week it was Elan M666, now Gyro fuse helmet, etc...

Thanks,
Scott

Yes. It is affiliated with backcountry.com

They sell one item per day. I've bought a few items (including the Giro Fuse) and they have all been outstanding deals. Good delivery times and good customer service.

It's a part of backcountry.com. Clever marketing idea. Every day they sell one item until it's sold out.

Link off backcountry.com?

Where on the backcountry.com site is the link for steepandcheap located? I have looked for it and cant seem to find it.

Would like to link off Epic to backcountry then to steep so Epic gets the credit for it instead of just going directly to steep like I have been. TIA.

Did you try www.steepandcheap.com?

Otherwise, there's no link off of EpicSki to it... they sell enough stuff to not really need it.

highly recommend this site (steepandcheap.com). backcountry's a great company all around. the only issue is the more popular the site gets the harder it will be to get any of the good stuff!!! even now, if you aren't in within the first few hours you have no chance unless you are and xxxs size!! but it's great fun in any case.

BB,

Yea, that is my normal way of checking what they have. But if you use the link to backcountry.com off Epic, then use their link to SAC, I believe Epic gets some support from backcountry.com. Since I am not a paying member of Epic, just wanted to try to give back a little when I do finally buy from SAC.

Excellent, thanks. Thought I checked there but must have missed it before.

Sorry

There used to be a link right at the top of the backcountry.com home page. But, you're right, its not there now.

If you go to the web site, you can sign up for daily email. You will get an email every day. (I have not signed up because I can't afford it!)

no doubt!
like my new smith goggles, some north face trail hikers, a light shell for the wife...

and they are very generous about returns, no questions asked, just pay shipping.

You can link steep and cheap onto you "my yahoo" site, which is handy for seeing the good stuff. They also have forums for each item for sale, and I got the impression that for things that hadn't sold out, you could get access to them via those forums and buy them.
