My question is...Do you have much experience on 100-mm+ waisted skis?
Since it looks like you have been on a 70-mm waisted ski (G3) for a few years, the Got's are likely going to feel pretty awkward on anything short of fluff, if you are not used to fatties. Also, I think that it is important to note that most of the opinions you have heard so far are from folks who are rather experienced and adept a skiing fatties.
That being said, my Got's (183's) are ok on soft groomers, but are a far cry from quick, edge-to-edge. As has been suggested, something like a Mantra (94-mm) or even an AC4 (82-mm) would be a better way to go if you don't ski out west all the time.
